An entire season all came down to one game this chilly February evening. In a game that would prove whether or not your team was the “real deal” both teams entered tonight’s contest with one goal and that of course was to leave being named the 2010 Broomball Champion. Entering tonight’s contest both teams went this entire season without tasting defeat once. The road to the championship was not an easy one for either one of these teams, with both teams passing some great competition en route to this championship game. The Pirate Sheep last season were known as The Abnormal Force and the season before that as The Pirate Sheep. Regardless of name, the majority of the team has been playing together and was looking to repeat as champions. Meanwhile, Ridikulus entered tonight’s game looking for their first-ever championship trophy. With the stage set, both teams were set to battle for the 2010 Broomball Championship!

Unfortunately, this seems to happen every year. The winner of the women’s league has to play one of the off-campus contenders for a shot to play in the off-campus final. The important thing to note about this game was that both teams were good spirited and good natured about the contest. The thing you hate to see is teams get frustrated by the predicament that they are placed in, or a superior team pour on unnecessary goals.

After a seven overtime thriller of a game last night for Victorious Secret, it seemed like they were going to keep living up to their name in these playoffs no matter what it took. They seemed to be the Cinderella story out of the McNair league, but this game was different. They would have to take down what appeared to be the strongest on campus team all year in order to play in the off-campus final, which would have been played just a couple of hours after this game. They were almost able to pull it off too, by taking it to yet another overtime game.
