With the unexpected resignation of former Editor in Chief Ric Goodell earlier this week, the Michigan Tech Lode has had a shake up with its staff, and I have been named as the new Editor in Chief. With this transition, I will be moving away from both my copy editor and Online Editor positions.

In a time of great transition for the organization and many changes being implemented for coming semesters, the Lode is looking to hit the ground running. I will be working diligently in the remaining weeks of the semester to make sure that the Lode is not adversely affected by this sudden change of staff.
Currently the Assistant Online Editor, Jeremiah Baumann will be taking over the now-vacant Online Editor position. Our new Web site will still be developed as originally planned over this coming summer, so stay tuned for updates regarding development.

The Lode would like to extend its gratitude to Ric Goodell’s three years of service and dedication as Editor in Chief. He will remain on staff in a capacity that has yet to be determined.
