Deer season to enter with a bang

Nov. 15 is right around the corner, and hunters from all around the state are getting ready. The infamous UP holiday is loved by young and old. A warmer start in the winter and light layer of snow on the ground add for perfect conditions this upcoming weekend.

Along with their camouflage and buck calls, hunters are reminded to wear their orange when going out. Having a safe year is the state’s hope for everyone involved. Also remembering to bring your license and photo ID for DNR officers is a key way to avoid any legal troubles.

Drive safe, and remember what they taught you in hunters safety. Be safe, and happy hunting.
