Every time we say “TGIF” we commemorate the Norse goddess Frigg, who, alone with her husband Odin, is privileged to sit on a high seat and look over the world. On Saturday, Oct. 18, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., her namesake Finnish-Norwegian fiddle band will conduct a music workshop at Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center, to be followed at 7:30 p.m. by a performance at the Calumet Theatre. It will be part of an American tour (Frigg’s fifth) in support of the band’s just-released Economy Class CD.
The Calumet Theatre is pleased to announce the 2008 fall schedule. Tickets are on sale for the following events.
